Have you ever imagined seeing a different version of Batman? A version that is very different from how we usually know him – more oriental and Asian inspired version of Batman – I’m talking about the Ninja Batman. This version was derived from the recent DC Animated movie with the same title, the setting took place during the feudal era of Japan that’s why most of it design is inspired by the traditional Japanese designs.
Today’s review is brought to us by Greattoys Online. I’ll be doing a quick review on the S.H.Figuarts Ninja Batman figure from Tamashii Nations and Bandai. Visit their website and Facebook page to see more action figures and toys up for sale!
The S.H.Figuarts Ninja Batman’s box art has an oriental design feel, very apt for the main figure’s look. The box is quite big – bigger than the Ninja Joker figure from the same line – which I will be reviewing soon!
The box set includes an ample amount accessories although it might seem very limited given that this is a Batman figure. The accessories includes interchangeable hands, an alternative face place, two katanas, two holsters for the katana and two kunai.
I really liked how they added details on the main figure – they really did a very accurate job on adding intricate details on a 1/12th scale figure. You’ll have a clear appreciation of this figure if you’ll notice the textures and design patterns on the suit.
The paint application for the Ninja Batman figure is all well made. Even the included weapons with intricate detail designs were carefully painted.
My main concern with the figure would be that the cape is made out of plastic and not from cloth – this has the same concern with the other S.H.FIguarts figures with the plastic cape – the figure tends to be heavier and stiff from the back – although the cape has few points of articulation.
The figure has full articulation points from ab crunches, elbow, leg and hip joints. So far, the only concern for posing would really be the weight of the cape. The figure set doesn’t include a figure stand – if only they’ve included one then the weight of the cape wouldn’t be an issue.
Overall, I would highly recommend this figure mainly because I really liked how they made a movie-accurate version of the Ninja Batman. The consideration points would be that its details in terms of textures and paint apps are very well made. This figure is really worth it, consider getting this figure together with the Ninja Batman’s Joker figure!
